This was a demo tape recorded in 1982 by Leif Edling before he formed Candlemass. The music really just sounds like early Candlemass, although the vocals are not as strong in my opinion. The two demo tracks from "Epicus Doomicus Metallicus" were added on to the CD re-issue. "Black Messiah" was eventually rewritten and recorded as the song "Incarnation of Evil" on Ancient Dreams. This disc is long out of print and has yet to be re-issued by Metal Blade.
